Intellectual Property Attorney

Intermediate/Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate (full-time)

Position Type: Full-time; hybrid position(in-office 2-3 days/remote remaining days)

Boutique intellectual property law firm is seeking a full-time, intermediate/mid-level litigation associate with solid in-court experience, preferably federal, to work as a member of its IP Litigation and Anti-Counterfeiting team. Candidate must be very well organized, detail-oriented and have a demonstrated interest in litigation and intellectual property law. A high-level of confidence, strong research abilities, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and hands on experience with the discovery process and motion practice, are required.

Primary Duties:

• Manage complex IP litigations, including drafting and filing of pleadings, motions, research in support of motions, drafting and responding to discovery, hearing preparation, and court appearances;

• Perform factual and legal research to identify creative solutions to nuanced legal issues;

• Assist with copyright filings; and

• Assist with pre-litigation matters, such as drafting and sending out warning letters, among other things.

Skills/Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of intellectual property litigation experience;

• Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor required;

• Admission to NY State Bar required, SDNY and EDNY admission preferred, CA admission a plus;

• Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills;

• Demonstrated excellence in creative legal writing, as well as legal research;

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work independently, as well as in a team setting;

• Enthusiastic, energetic, confident and highly motivated personality; and

• In-court experience, federal litigation experience preferred.
