The CMS4Schools Account is responsible for working with potential and existing CMS4Schools clients to build relationships, understand needs and challenges, and offer solutions based on the existing product suite or future product development. The CMS4Schools Account Manager reports to the 4Schools Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaboratively develop marketing plans with internal and external partners.
- Execute inbound and outbound marketing tactics to generate new lead client leads for CMS4Schools products and service offerings.
- Identify, target and educate existing clients on the complete CMS4Schools products and service offerings.
- Attend conferences and exhibits to represent the the CMS4Schools product and service offerings
- Organize and conduct regular live webinars and user groups for potential and/or existing customers.
- Qualify prospective clients per sales plan, budget and decision making.
- Develop presentations and adapt sales collateral to support the sales process.
- Conduct demos of the CMS4Schools products and services to qualified clients.
- Respond to request for proposals (RFPs) and request for information (RFIs).
- Generate quotes and contracts.
- Negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
- Conduct regular retention outreach to existing clients.
- Maintain customer, lead, and revenue information in customer relationship management software (CRM).
- Facilitate the onboarding of clients/projects to the implementation team.
- Develop customer communications to ensure existing clients .
- Resolves client complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Ensures annual client invoicing is accurately generated and troubleshoots any issues with the finance team.
- Prepares weekly and monthly reporting on marketing and sales activities and shares with the 4Schools leadership team the CMS4Schools sales pipeline.
- Interfaces with the CMS4Schools Product Manager to ensure the products and services are in alignment with client needs.
- Meet productivity key performance indicators (KPIs).
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to inquiries and assist clients with best practices, troubleshooting, and questions through
CMS4Schools support center.
- Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
- Receiving feedback from clients and relaying ideas to the internal product development team for consideration into future plans.
- Assists in the development of the 4Schools budget related to marketing and sales plan requirements.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Organize and conduct regular live webinars and user groups for potential and/or existing customers.
- Serves as a member of the 4Schools leadership team.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Education and Licensure:
- Previous sales experience required; K-12 educational sales experience desired.
- Previous experience working with customer relationship management software preferred.
- Inbound and outbound marketing experience desired.

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in multiple settings, including school districts, a professional office setting and/or in a home office environment.
- Position may require extended hours including evenings and weekends, travel to multiple work sites and occasional out-of-town travel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is regularly required to communicate effectively in person, via phone, video and in writing.
- The employee may be required to drive between schools and districts to provide direct service and consultation.
- The employee may occasionally lift or move office equipment, products and supplies, up to 40 pounds.
- This employee may occasionally need to set up 4Schools exhibit booth banners, tables, and related equipment.
- Long hours for extended periods of time during high-demand periods.
