CESA 11 Head Start offers a variety of programs serving Pregnant women, children 0-3yrs old in a home based setting and 3 & 4yo center based programming. This is a full time 40hours/week, 195 days/yr. position.
Position Responsibilities:
This position is for the 3yo Lead Teacher at our Menomonie Head Start center. Our ideal candidate will provide leadership to the teaching team, giving clear direction to other adults in the classroom while sharing the work. Provide an environment and schedule to enhance learning and facilitate appropriate language and communication with children. Construct and implement appropriate motivation and guidance techniques along with implementing appropriate curriculum for the classroom. Provide home visits and parent teacher conferences as required. Proactively partner with Family Support Specialist and Early Head Start Staff to benefit children and families. Make efforts to enhance on the job training, promote collaborations with other agencies, and work with school districts as needed to make referrals, participate in IEP meetings and follow through with IEP plans.
Demonstrate the ability to establish positive relationships that generate a strong feeling on honesty, integrity and reliability. Demonstrate a positive attitude that is reflected in your behavior and treatment of others and possess the ability to act in difficult situations versus react.
Establish mutually respectful partnerships with families and fellow staff within the classroom and center.
Professionally represent the agency within the community and act as an advocate for Head Start families.
Wage Rate:
ECE Associates: $21.75
ECE Bachelors: $23.00
Candidate Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
Ability to provide a copy of The Registry certificate within 3 months of assuming the position
Ability to work well with diverse families as well as with your center team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of the families and our program as required.
A valid drivers license is required.
Hours: 40 hours/week, 195 days/year.
