Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious and highly organized Technical Program Assistant to join our educational agency. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of select projects within our agency. Attention to detail is essential for this role.
Skills & Qualifications
- Concern for quality work; utmost attention to detail
- Technical writing & reporting experience, attention to details for technical forms and applications
- Experience with completion of federal forms at a 100% accuracy rate is desired. (Will train on forms if attention to detail is strong.)
- High levels of verbal and written communication and public relations/customer service skills
- Technology proficiency and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing demands
- Self motivated, ability to work independently and with a collaborative team, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- High level of professionalism; commitment to learn and grow
- Associate’s Degree or one-year technical college certificate desired but not required
- Experience providing support in a professional office setting desired
Job Duties
- Provide support to multiple program areas on tasks related to educational programming and services
- Complete and file federal forms related to E-Rate funding (training provided) - Under the direction of the E-Rate Service Coordinator
- Remain up-to-date regarding E-Rate federal program changes and participate in E-Rate reviews
- Communicate and develop professional relationships with other CESAs, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC), and other educational partners
- Draft and edit correspondence to coordinate communication between CESA 11 and school district personnel, including emails, marketing flyers, registration forms, newsletters, meeting notes, etc.
- Provide support for CESA 11 itinerant staff division, regional co-op bid processes, and semi-annual statewide Ed Events conferences
- Perform clerical duties including but not limited to: typing, filing, copying, event set up, emails, phone support, and entry of purchase orders
Physical Requirements
- Ability to regularly lift 30 pounds
Compensation
- Starting wage is $22.00 per hour based upon qualifications and experience
- Paid sick and personal leave time
- Benefits available include participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), family health insurance or an alternative benefit plan in lieu of health insurance, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance
Work Schedule & Work Life Balance
- Full-time: 190 days base per year (prorated based on start date), primarily school-year days with flexibility for limited days in summer
- Summer 2027 will have additional days available for designated agency projects (optional)
- Full-time: 7.5 hours a day; typical office hours 7:30a-3:30p
- No weekends or holidays
- Occasional overnight in-state travel (approximately 4 nights per year)
- Desired start date: Between August 1 - August 15, 2026
