JOB TITLE: Team Lead, Asset Protection
Onsite Location: 5929 Baker Road, Suite 475, Minnetonka, MN 55345
Hours - 7:00am to 4:00pm (Monday-Friday)
Contract duration: 7 months
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Asset Protection Team Lead supports daily security operations, loss prevention activities, and investigations at the facility. This role provides day-to-day leadership and functional guidance to Asset Protection Coordinators and contract security personnel while ensuring compliance with AP policies and procedures. The Team Lead acts as a first-line escalation point for shift-based issues, supports investigations, and partners closely with the AP Supervisor and Manager to maintain operational readiness and compliance.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides shift-based leadership and functional oversight to Asset Protection Coordinators and contract security personnel.
- Supports the execution of daily AP operations, including surveillance monitoring, access control reviews, patrols, and incident response.
- Serves as a lead resource for investigations, supporting case development, evidence collection, camera review, and OSINT activities.
- Acts as a first-level escalation point for security incidents, coordinating with the AP Supervisor or Manager as required.
- Supports training and onboarding for new AP staff and contract security, reinforcing policies, procedures, and post orders.
- Assists with facility audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, documenting findings and tracking corrective actions.
- Maintains accurate incident reports, case documentation, and audit records in alignment with AP standards.
- Partners with HR, EH&S, and Operations to support investigations, safety initiatives, and risk mitigation efforts.
- Assists in ensuring security technology effectiveness, escalating system issues and coordinating with leadership as needed.
- Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying operational gaps and recommending practical enhancements.
- Supports emergency response activities and participates in drills and preparedness exercises.
BASIC (REQUIRED) QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2 years of Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Security experience.
- We need someone QUICKLY, to work ONSITE, with Asset Protection/Security experience.
- This person would be responsible for CCTV, Making ID badges, Access Control, and Verification to ensure that only authorized individuals enter the site.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and support peers in a team environment.
- Experience supporting investigations, audits, or compliance activities.
- Working knowledge of security technology (CCTV, access control, incident reporting systems).
- Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
