What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Certified?
Certified is hiring a Project Manager to manage commercial furniture-related projects from initiation through completion and post-project support.
This is a field-aware role. The right person can identify issues early, solve problems practically, and take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. Availability for overtime, including nights and weekends, is required based on project schedules.
This role requires someone who is organized, hands-on, technically strong, and accountable. The Project Manager must be able to manage multiple active projects, communicate clearly with all project stakeholders, and keep the project schedule, budget, staffing, documentation, and commitments on track.
The ideal candidate has 5 years of project management experience, preferably in commercial furniture, construction, logistics, or another field where site conditions, workforce coordination, documentation, and schedule control directly affect project success.
Position Overview
The Project Manager sits within Certified’s Project Management team and reports to the COO. Once a proposal is signed, the Project Manager takes ownership of turning the approved scope into a fully planned, properly staffed, accurately documented, and successfully executed project.
This includes coordinating site requirements, access, labor, materials, delivery and installation activity, field communication, documentation, issue resolution, and project closeout. The Project Manager works closely with clients, Certified’s workforce, internal teams, trade partners, manufacturers, and vendors to keep each project aligned with scope, schedule, budget, and Certified’s quality standards.
Experience using Procore, Smartsheet, SnapTracker, and project workbooks is ideal.
