Responsibilities for the automotive transmission technician include:
- Remove and install transmissions according to factory specifications
- Identify transmissions and torque converters
- Flush transmission coolers and verify proper flow
- Inspect ground straps, flywheel condition, and dowel pins
- Perform final inspections to ensure all procedures are completed correctly and safely for the customer, vehicle, and transmission
Preferred qualifications of the technician:
- 1 years of experience as a shop technician
- Ability to remove and replace (R&R) transmissions
