What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Restoration Technician – Water, Fire & Mold position at Certified Professional Restoration?
Ready to Lead Jobs Instead of Just Work on Them?
Certified Professional Restoration is hiring an experienced Lead Restoration Technician to run restoration job sites, lead crews, communicate with customers, and make sure every project is completed safely, professionally, and thoroughly documented.
This is not an entry-level position.
We are looking for someone who understands hands-on field work and is ready to take greater ownership and responsibility. A successful Lead Technician doesn't just know how to do the work — they know how to organize the job, lead the crew, solve problems, communicate with the customer, and make sure nothing gets missed.
Certified Professional Restoration is a locally owned company serving the Canton area for more than 10 years. We're looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career and grow with our company.

Documentation Is a Major Part of This Position
Being good at restoration work is only part of being a successful Lead Technician.
You will also be responsible for making sure every job is properly documented.
This includes:
- Writing clear and accurate daily job notes
- Taking thorough before, during, and after photos
- Recording moisture readings and equipment placement
- Creating property sketches and documenting affected areas
- Documenting work performed and materials removed
- Keeping job files organized and up to date
- Making sure required documentation is completed accurately and on time
If it's not documented, it's not complete.

- Is organized and pays attention to details
- Is comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, and job-management software
- Can write clear job notes and complete documentation accurately
