Essential Functions
- Diagnoses and repairs equipment
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment
- Prepares and maintains records and reports
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
- Assists in ThermoKing Units
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Assist in keeping service department clean and organized
- All other tasks as assigned
- Overall knowledge or diagnosing mechanical problems and performing repairs
- Must provide a basic set of tools
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be thorough
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to handle multi-functions
- Ability to work proficiently and efficiently in a timely manner
- Highly detail oriented
- Work Environment: *Trailer Technician duties operate in an outside, shop setting. This role routinely uses standard mechanic shop equipment.
- Physical Demands: *Trailer Technician duties require the ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. It may also require walking primarily on a level surface or climbing, as well as reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting 20 to 100 lbs. at least once a day.
- Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: *This is a full-time position. Days and typical hours of work are Friday through Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Overtime and weekends may be necessary. On call rotation (Nights and Weekends) every few weeks.
- Required Education:* High school diploma or GED diploma, at least five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
