Santa Clara electronics client seeks an Optical Assembly Technician for inspecting optics using cameras. You're an ideal candidate if you have experience in optics test or fiber inspection.
Responsibilities:
- Perform optics assembly or mechanical inspections, dependent on skills.
- Operate, clean, and maintain the Residual Gas Analyzer (RGA), vacuum ovens and related tools & fixtures.
- Clean, unpackage, and handle production units, loading them safely into the ovens and RGAs.
- Perform particle inspections and packaging of production units to be shipped to the customer.
- Perform end-of-line fiber or optics inspections to support shipments.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience as a Production Operator, Assembler, or Technician working with sensitive or delicate electronic devices, required. Experience should include careful handling, product inspection, and attention to cleanliness and temperature sensitivity.
- 2 years of experience as a Production Operator, Assembler, or Technician in a fiber optics manufacturing environment (assembly or inspection), preferred.
- Able to follow cleaning and operating instructions meticulously.
- Assembly experience at a fiber/optics manufacturing line, highly desired.
- Read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
- Communicate effectively in a team environment - excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
