Apartment Maintenance Technician
Location: Houma, LA
Certified Apartment Staffing is seeking an experienced and reliable Apartment Maintenance Technician for an apartment community in Houma, Louisiana. We are looking for a well-rounded maintenance professional who is comfortable handling a variety of repairs and helping keep the community running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Complete resident maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Perform light plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, sinks, and minor leaks
- Perform light electrical repairs, including switches, outlets, light fixtures, and other basic electrical components
- Complete apartment make-readies to prepare vacant units for new residents
- Troubleshoot and repair common household appliances
- Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the community
- Handle basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and other handyman repairs
- Assist with maintaining common areas and the overall appearance of the property
- Communicate maintenance concerns and needed repairs to management
Qualifications:
- Previous apartment maintenance experience is preferred
- Experience completing work orders and apartment make-readies
- Knowledge of appliance troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience with light plumbing and electrical work
- Strong general handyman and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple maintenance requests
- Reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic
