What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Program - Direct Support Staff position at CERENITY INC?
We are now hiring Day Program Staff (DSP) to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their community Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
• Support and encourage individuals to increase their ability to be as independent as possible.
• Collaborate with the Manager to develop and facilitate programs which meet the social, emotional, physical and personal needs of the individual.
• Provide ongoing support for integration efforts in the community with activities that are person centered
• Document individual’s progress toward acquiring community integration.
• Assist in building a support network between the individual and the community.
• Coordinates all leisure and volunteer opportunities
OTHER ASSIGNED DUTIES
Requirements:
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Valid Driver’s License.
