Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Business Systems Specialist to support the firm’s finance and operations platforms. This role will play a key part in maintaining and enhancing systems critical to investment operations, treasury, and loan servicing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with platforms such as VPM, WSO (or similar loan servicing tools), and a strong understanding of treasury and collateral management systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support for finance and operations systems, including issue triage, resolution, and escalation
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations or enhancements
- Support testing and validation of new business use cases, upgrades, and patches
- Assist in managing vendor relationships and coordinating with external support teams
- Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and user guides
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Participate in platform upgrades, data migrations, and integration projects
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience supporting enterprise systems in a financial services environment
- Strong working knowledge of VPM and/or WSO (or equivalent loan servicing platforms)
- Familiarity with treasury management and collateral management systems is a plus
- Experience supporting finance, operations, or investment teams in a buy-side firm
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Skills
- Experience with system integration tools or scripting (e.g., SQL, Python, APIs)
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g. Dynamics Customer Service)
- Understanding of fund accounting, cash management, and investment workflows
The base salary for this position is expected to be between $180,000.00 and $200,000.00.
The base salary offered to the chosen candidate will be commensurate with a candidate’s
relevant experience and other qualifications for the position, as determined by the
Company in its sole discretion. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an
annual discretionary bonus [which is often a meaningful portion of the compensation
package], and a robust benefits package.
