POSITION SUMMARY: The Marketing Specialist is responsible for partnering with local HMS Sales team to align marketing initiatives with sales strategies, ensuring effective internal communications, content dissemination, and coordinator of joint activities specifically; strategic market planning, event management, marketing materials and content creation, and activity planning. This position utilizes skills including project management, creative work, and event planning
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Execute the Global Marketing Strategy for Hard Materials Solutions across the Americas (U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Canada), ensuring full alignment with Corporate Design Guidelines.
- Partner with the U.S. Hard Materials Solutions Sales Director to ensure marketing initiatives support sales objectives, including effective internal communication, content distribution, and coordination of joint activities.
- Plan, organize, and manage industry conferences, trade shows, and client events, including end‑to‑end logistics, post‑event follow‑up, and identification of strategic branding opportunities to enhance market presence and strengthen key customer relationships.
- Oversee marketing budget planning and decision-making, ensuring optimal resource allocation, cost efficiency, and effective investment in trade fair participation and related activities.
- Collaborate with product managers and Channel Marketing Managers to create, update, and maintain product documentation (catalogs, brochures, flyers) in both print and digital formats. Support the development of digital content for social media, websites, newsletters, and customer communications to expand brand visibility and engagement.
- Provide editorial support and internal communication for Hard Materials Solutions employees, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with company values.
- Manage relationships with external marketing vendors, including agencies and print partners; maintain and update marketing assets; and conduct market research as needed to support strategic decision-making.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related discipline
- 5-7 years’ experience in a marketing communication, events planning, or similar role.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Enthusiastic and collaborative attitude
- Ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Comfortable working with technical content in a high tech B2B environment
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 25% to 50% travel/overnight stays required – a valid drivers license is required. International trips maybe required
