About the role
As Head of Investment
Data Processing, you will be the operational leader responsible for reinventing
and running the CEPRES Datanetwork, including CEPRES’s core investment data
onboarding and processing operations. Your mission: transform legacy, manual
data extraction processes into efficient, AI-driven workflows—while ensuring
business continuity, team engagement, and client satisfaction.
You will work closely
with our large, experienced Product team, which is responsible for building the
AI-based workflows that will power the next generation of CEPRES’s data
platform. Your role is hands-on and operational: you will analyze, design, and
implement new processes, directly manage a team of up to 100 data extraction
specialists, and lead the transition to automation.
Focus of our search
will be to comply with the operational, hands-on nature of the role, the
responsibility for managing a large team, and the importance of close
collaboration with the Product team building the AI workflows. The focus is on
process reinvention and leadership through change.
Key responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of
day-to-day data onboarding and processing operations.
- Analyze, redesign, and implement end-to-end workflows for collecting, verifying, and delivering
investment data.
- Think outside the box: Invent
and operationalize new processes that leverage AI and automation,
ensuring they are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
- Establish scalable processes and use tools that ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, and
timeliness across all datasets.
- Optimize data management processes from end-to-end within the data value flow to increase efficiency
and reduce cost.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement, using KPIs, and
automation to optimize workflows and elevate data quality.
- Drive adoption of documentation, standardization, and best practices
across the data analyst function.
- Ensure full compliance with data governance, privacy, and security
frameworks
Team Management & Change Leadership
- Lead and manage CEPRES’s data
management teams, including a large team of data analysts responsible for extracting, transforming, validating, and maintaining
complex financial data.
- Manage the transition from manual to
automated processes, ensuring team members are engaged, supported, and
upskilled where possible.
Collaboration
with Product & Technology
- Partner closely with the Product team to align operational needs with
the development of AI-based workflows.
- Provide hands-on feedback and requirements to ensure new solutions are
practical, effective, and rapidly adopted.
Client &
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the operational point of contact for large clients during
process transformation.
- Ensure data onboarding and delivery processes meet client expectations
and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science,
Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 years of hands-on operational leadership in data processing, process
innovation, or analytics, with direct responsibility for large teams.
- Proven experience in process analysis, re-engineering, and
automation—ideally in financial services or data-intensive environments.
- Optimally, experience in illiquid asset class data handling and data
structures
- Optimally: consulting background
- Strong technical understanding of AI/ML solutions for document
processing and workflow automation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams through complex change.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management
skills.
Preferred:
- Experience managing transitions from manual to automated data
operations.
- Familiarity with Intelligent Document Processing platforms and
cloud-based AI/ML services.
- Nice to have: Certifications in process improvement (e.g., Lean Six
Sigma) or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Prior experience in a FinTech, B2B SaaS, or institutional investment
context.
