Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Construction Accounting Coordinator to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $25.00 to $27.00 per hour.Job Responsibilities:Review and manage construction billings, progress payments, pay applications, change orders, lien releases, and COIs for all projects.Follow up with vendors to ensure accurate and timely submission of construction-related documentation.Prepare and review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.Organize and maintain project files, including creating new project setups and filing systems.Prepare internal and external reports related to job status and update construction status reports regularly.Requirements:Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and MS Project for scheduling.Apply strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and maintain accurate documentation.Communicate effectively with vendors, project managers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly.Attend project meetings and document meeting notes accurately for distribution.Perform account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies for each project.Qualifications:A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; construction accounting experience preferred.3 years of experience in accounting or project coordination within the construction industry.Show familiarity with preparing development and project budgets and managing project close-out processes.Exhibit strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.Display excellent problem-solving skills and ability to plan ahead to prevent and resolve emerging issues.REF#51475#ZRCompany DescriptionCentury Group is an executive recruiting and professional staffing firm providing top-tier accounting and finance talent to start-up, mid-market and Fortune 500 enterprises on a direct hire, temporary and temp-to-hire basis.
