What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stock Expeditor position at Century Furniture?
Summary Description:
Pulls and distributes stock listed on a pick sheet for the days production requirements.
Duties:
- Pulls stock from inventory to meet plant needs for shift
- Loads the stock on a truck using forklift, hand trucks, etc. as needed
- Distributes/unloads stock to designated locations
- Builds skids as needed
- Unboxes/uncrates finished product to add skid to base
- Keeps stock moved in and out of inventory as directed
- Handling Slab Stock as needed
- Observes plant safety rules
- Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience using a forklift preferred
