What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Finisher position at Century Furniture?
Summary Job Description
This position is responsible finishing a case from start to finish.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for sanding and cleaning cases
- Ensures case finishes equalize in color, stain, spray and work filler and glaze, and spray lacquers
- Completes finishing handwork (whip, spatter, cow tail, etc.)
- Reads a finish formula
- Ensures used rags are put in the correct containers
- Responsible for lids being closed on all finishing cans and rag bins
- Repairs cases as needed
- Possesses knowledge of all lacquer and Relthane based materials
- Must follow all safety policies and procedures
- All other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to read a route card
- Previous finishing experience necessary
