Position Summary
The Marketing Intern will support the marketing team at our High Point showroom, assisting with social media management, content creation, and brand execution. This role provides hands-on experience in furniture marketing, showroom branding, and event-based content creation — particularly during High Point Furniture Market.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced showroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with posting and scheduling content across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, etc.)
- Help write captions and support execution of the social content calendar
- Organize, update, and maintain Pinterest boards to reflect current collections and campaigns
- Support the creation of Instagram Reels and short-form social content
- Capture and assist with basic editing of photo and video content
- Provide support on general marketing projects as needed
- Assist with real-time content creation and posting during High Point Furniture Market (Spring)
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms
- Support showroom marketing initiatives and campaign rollouts
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
- Strong written communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and trends
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools preferred
- Comfortable capturing photo and video content on mobile devices
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects
- Interest in furniture, interior design, or home furnishings is a plus
Preferred Skills
- Experience creating Reels or short-form video content
- Understanding of brand voice and visual consistency
- Basic editing skills (photo and video)
