What are the responsibilities and job description for the Foam Department Associate position at Century Furniture?
FOAM DEPARTMENT
Rail Foam - Selecting the correct grade of poly per pattern specifications, pull the foam bun and rail the bun to dimensions utilizing band saws that provide the cutter the best opportunity to generate the least amount of scrap foam while allowing adequate material to cut the component to pattern specifications.
Slitting Foam - Cut the railed foam utilizing the slitting machine to the thickness specified on the poly specifications ensuring that the appropriate amount of foam is prepared to produce the scheduled components.
Cut Foam - Mark the prepared railed and slit foam utilizing prepared patterns and cut out the component with a foam cutting saw maintaining the correct size / shape and identifying the component as prescribed in the standard operating procedures.
Contour Cut Foam - Utilizing prepared railed foam and correct part board, contour cut components utilizing the contour cutting machine.
Wedge / Bevel Foam - Wedge and / or bevel component as defined on the pattern utilizing the angle band saw and / or cutting saw.
Qualifications:Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
