Packaging Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a focused, self-reliant Packaging Associate I who thrives in an independent workflow and takes pride in hitting consistent production targets. In this role, your primary responsibility will be the setup and standalone operation of our blister packaging machine, alongside managing bagging, shrink-wrapping, and assembly processes. This position is ideal for a disciplined, goal-oriented professional who prefers ownership over their own workstation, works exceptionally well without constant supervision, and is driven by meeting daily output and quality metrics. Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards in production.
• Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment, including forklifts when certified, ensuring proper storage and movement within the warehouse.
• Interpret production documents accurately to ensure correct packaging specifications are met for each product.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting on packaging machinery to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production flow.
• Conduct heavy lifting and assembly tasks as required, adhering strictly to safety protocols to prevent injuries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA regulations.
• Document all packaging activities precisely, including batch records, production logs, and incident reports, ensuring traceability and quality control.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing facility operations or warehouse environments is highly preferred.
• Basic knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and mechanical knowledge is essential.
• Familiarity with GMP, CGMP, FDA regulations, and safety standards in production environments.
• Ability to operate packaging equipment and material handling tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent interpretation skills for manufacturing documents.
• Basic math skills for measurements, counts, and quality checks.
• Forklift certification is a plus; candidates must demonstrate safety protocol adherence when operating material handling equipment.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks.
