The Med Gas Installer will be responsible for installing and supporting medical gas piping systems in accordance with project specifications and industry safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, and repair medical gas piping systems (oxygen, nitrous oxide, medical air, vacuum, etc.)
- Perform brazing in accordance with NFPA 99 standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and shop drawings
- Pressure test and assist with system verification and inspections
- Work closely with supervisors, inspectors, and other trades on-site
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
- Ensure quality workmanship on active healthcare/commercial projects
- Valid Medical Gas Certification (ASME / Brazing / NFPA 99 compliant)
- Proven experience on commercial or healthcare construction projects
- Strong knowledge of med gas codes and installation standards
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen (healthcare project)
- Reliable transportation and tools
