What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slot Technician Fulltime Dayshift position at Century Casinos Inc?
FUNCTION:
Responsible for maintaining and repairing all slot machines and related equipment on the casino floor or in the Slot Repair Shop. The Slot Technician may be assigned to work the casino floor as a repairman or as a Key Person.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Expected to participate in the installation and removal of slot equipment and the modification or alteration of slot equipment.
- Perform software conversions and slot machine moves as directed by the Slot Repair Manager.
- Possess expert slot repair skills (ability to complete all PM's, diagnose and repair 100% of all issues).
- Possess expert maintenance skills for Machine Locks (Slots/Kiosks/Cans).
- Possess expert maintenance skills for all types of Slot Machines.
- Keep all equipment assigned to the Slot department in repair and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
- Respond to requests from the casino floor or emergency repair.
- Assist in the maintenance of the Slot Tracking System.
- Assist in the training of Key Persons, Slot Technicians and other slot personnel as directed by the Slot Manager.
- Install, remove, and relocate slot machines and related equipment on the casino floor as directed.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Slot Repair Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years in slot repair experience including electronic board repair to the compound level.
Advanced experience in “live” repair of slots on a casino floor.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Nevada Employee Gaming Registration required.
