What are the responsibilities and job description for the AR Clerk Fulltime Dayshift position at Century Casinos Inc?
FUNCTION:
Responsible for performing daily casino revenue audits, cash summaries, journal entries and related revenue reports for management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure daily transactions (charges and payments) for the property are accounted for and documented in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure accuracy in guest statements prior to mailing them to the guest.
- Ensure assigned audits are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Monitor master account accuracy.
- Complete and process daily deposits.
- Maintain and complete the city ledger account; ensuring receivables are accurately processed.
- Contact guests regarding overdue accounts, identify partial payments and prepare adjustments as required.
- Track and review exception report within five days to ensure they have been addressed with appropriate departments and employees.
- Understand and explain the paper and cash flow as well as the financial impact of each audit as required.
- Ensure daily audited numbers correspond to system generated reports.
- Report discrepancies from the internal control standard to the Senior Auditor or others as required.
- Identify and report discrepancies in the reconciliation process.
- Prepare daily and monthly journal entries.
- File daily paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Address guest complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
- Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
- Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
- Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
- Regular predictable attendance is required.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Accounting Manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 21 years of age.
EDUCATION LEVEL:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
LANGUAGE:
Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year in a casino A/R position preferred, or similar position.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
Employee Gaming registration required.
PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.
Fine finger manipulation.
Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
