Room Attendant Fulltime Dayshift

FUNCTION:  

Responsible for the cleaning of hotel guest rooms and suites according to the high standards of the Nugget Casino Resort. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Change linens, and remake beds according to housekeeping standards. 
2. Clean all rooms assigned to you during your shift, usually a minimum of 16 rooms in total. 
3. Using company provided cleaning products clean bathrooms including, scrubbing tubs, toilets, sinks, counter tops and mopping floors. 
4. Remove soiled towels and replace with fresh towels. Remove empty or semi empty toiletries and replace with new. 
5. Wash all mirrors and polish chrome fixtures in bathrooms.
6. Remove all trash, dust, and vacuum room. Wipe down all surfaces including television remote and the telephone. 
7. Clean coffee pot and replenish coffee, sweeteners, stir sticks, and creamer. 
8. Straighten guest rooms, restock necessary bathroom linens and supplies and turn-down bed sheets in guest rooms as assigned. 
9. Replace glasses and necessary amenities in guest’s rooms as required.
10. Ensure that all drawers are checked and empty of previous guests’ belongings if guest has checked out. 
11. Immediately report and return all lost and found articles to the lost and found area in the housekeeping department per company policies.
12. Complete work orders to be submitted to the engineering department for room repairs and maintenance.
13. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests. 
14. Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate
15. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
16. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike. 
17. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager. 
18. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
19. Regular predictable attendance is required.
20. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:      Housekeeping Supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 18 years of age. 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation. 

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
