Key Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of the Progressive Care Unit.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to clinical staff.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and manage unit budget, staffing plans, and performance improvement projects.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance and clinical outcomes.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practices.
- Serve as a liaison between staff, patients, families, and hospital leadership.
- Lead and support change management efforts across the department.
Qualifications You Will Need:
- Required: BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, or BA with MSN)
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Required:
- Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing OR compact eNLC license (must verify eligibility with NCBON).
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
- National Certification in specialty area or leadership within 1 year of accepting the role. If currently pursuing a nursing degree, certification must be obtained within 1 year of graduation.
- Required:
- Minimum of 5 years recent nursing experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Preferred:
- Previous leadership or management experience in a clinical setting.
