Location: Machias, Maine
Pay Rate: $1,900 To $2,052 /Week
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM 7:30 PM; holiday coverage required
Experience: Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
About the Role
We are seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract opportunity in Machias, Maine. This role requires strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills while delivering safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical/Surgical patients following evidence-based nursing standards
Perform patient assessments, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patient progress
Respond efficiently to emergency situations while maintaining high-quality patient care
Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes
Requirements
Active Maine RN License required
Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
BLS,ACLS Certifications required
Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and respond effectively in emergency situations
Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
