Registered nurse- Cardiac Telemetry

- Shift: 12-hr Day/Night Rotate

- Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
- Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Position Summary:
The Cardiac Telemetry RN assesses acute changes in patient conditions, monitors and analyzes heart rhythms, interprets ECGs, identifies arrhythmias, and intervenes in emergency situations. This role requires advanced critical thinking, comprehensive clinical knowledge, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and provide therapeutic and administrative services necessary for patient care.
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies, supporting the mission of CenterPoint Medical Center.
- Provide care for patients aged 16 years and older, including young adult (18 39 years), adult (40 64 years), and geriatric patients (65 ).
- Stabilize patients under 16 years of age prior to transfer.
- Acquire advanced knowledge in psychosocial, spiritual, pathophysiological, and therapeutic components specific to step-down care and cardiac monitoring.
- Identify patient risks and hazards, and take actions to mitigate unsafe practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of Acute Care RN experience.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
- Current RN license from the Missouri State Board of Nursing or a Multistate RN license from a participating compact state.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- ACLS certification to be obtained within 1 year of hire.
