Clinical Pharmacist (Day Shift)
Location: Panama City, FL, 32401
Shift: 10 HR Days | 08:00 AM - 06:00 PM
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team on a day shift basis. The ideal candidate will have acute hospital experience and be able to provide clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting to ensure safe and effective medication use for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and accurately verify medication orders into the pharmacy system.
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals according to established protocols and best practices.
- Monitor patient drug therapy for contraindications, drug-drug and drug-food interactions, allergies, and dosage appropriateness.
- Provide drug information and consultation to healthcare professionals and patients.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
- Experience:
- Open to New Graduate Pharmacists who have completed a hospital-based internship.
- Required: Minimum of one year of recent hospital experience or successful completion of a PGY-1 residency in a hospital setting.
- Required: Acute care hospital experience within the last year.
- Minimum of one year of hospital experience is preferred.
- Licensure:
- Must hold an active pharmacist license in good standing in the state of Florida.
