Major Responsibilities:

Quality:

• Cultivate a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices that enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to standards of care and manage variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost.
• Promote a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
• Monitor internal and external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations, actively pursuing their achievement.
• Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory standards to ensure compliance; develop and implement policies and procedures accordingly.
• Lead patient throughput strategies, including capacity planning, volume forecasting, patient flow coordination, and admission/discharge planning.
• Oversee nursing practice and unit operations, developing policies and nursing standards to meet patient and family needs.

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years recent acute care Emergency Department Director or Manager experience (Manager considered if from a large ED or specific reporting structure).
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
