Breast Sonographer (Day Shift)

• Location: Utica, NY, 13502
• Duration: 13 week contract
• Shift: 8-hr Days | Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM 4:30 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekly Pay Rate: $2,480 $2,680; (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary:

The Breast Sonographer will perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations in a clinical setting. This position requires a professional who can work independently, demonstrate strong clinical judgment, and provide accurate documentation and preliminary reports. The technologist will collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and imaging quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic breast ultrasounds and assist with image-guided breast procedures as needed.
• Ensure high-quality imaging and accurate documentation of findings.
• Prepare and maintain patient records, including entering data and writing required reports.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain cleanliness and readiness of all equipment.
• Follow established protocols and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff.
• Provide patient education regarding procedures and care instructions.
• Work independently while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience.
• Certification:
  • ARDMS certification required (BREAST specialty BR).
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Travel Experience: Must have travel experience.
