Schedule: Monday–Friday; 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Experience: Less Then 1 Year Accepted; Previous Ultrasound Experience Preferred
About the Role
We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Athol, Massachusetts. The technologist will perform general, abdominal, OB, and small-parts ultrasound examinations while ensuring diagnostic-quality images and accurate patient information.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and obtain high-quality images according to physician orders and established protocols.
Select appropriate transducers, technical factors, equipment settings, and patient positioning to optimize diagnostic image quality.
Review physician orders and clinical history to verify the appropriate examination before beginning each procedure.
Accurately document examinations, measurements, patient information, and procedure details in Meditech.
Coordinate patient flow and daily imaging schedules while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic records.
Requirements
Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound Technology or Radiologic Technology Program Required.
Current ARDMS Registration Required; ARDMS (AB) and ARDMS (OB) Credentials Required for This Assignment.
Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.
Previous Ultrasound Procedure Experience Preferred; Less Than 1 Year of Experience Accepted.
Strong Technical, Organizational, Interpersonal, and Independent Clinical Judgment Skills Required.
