About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Progressive Care Unit (Med-Surg/PCU) for a 13-week night-shift contract in Lancaster, Ohio. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process while supporting safe and effective care for surgical Medical-Surgical and PCU patients.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills. The RN will also provide patient and family education, administer medications and treatments, communicate changes in patient condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
ResponsibilitiesAssess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using the nursing process.
Administer medications and treatments safely and implement physician orders as prescribed.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate significant changes or clinical concerns to the appropriate provider.
Provide patient and family education throughout the admission, treatment, and discharge process.
Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation while coordinating care with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Minimum 1 Year of Registered Nurse Experience Required.
Current, Active Ohio Registered Nurse License Required.
Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program With a Diploma, ADN, or BSN Required.
Current BLS/BCLS Certification Required.
Current ACLS and PALS Certifications Required.
This contract opportunity is suited for a Med-Surg/PCU RN comfortable providing surgical nursing care on 12-hour night shifts with holiday coverage.
Salary : $1,700 - $1,947
