Registered Nurse - Medsurg

Location: Sitka, Alaska

Pay Rate: $ 2,100 To $ 2,336/Week

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Rotating Day & Night Shifts

Experience: Minimum 2 Years Required

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Sitka, Alaska. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across a variety of inpatient settings while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based clinical outcomes. Flexibility to float between multiple units is essential.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients across Medical Surgical and inpatient units.

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions while monitoring patient progress and responding to changes in condition.

• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and clinical decision-making.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Meditech and ensure compliance with nursing standards and hospital policies.

• Float between Medical Surgical, Emergency Department, and ICU as needed to support patient care requirements.

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License required at the time of submission.

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience required.

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS Certifications required.

• Must be willing to work both day and night shifts based on department needs.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and adaptability in a Critical Access Hospital environment.
