About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Salinas, California. This role focuses on providing specialized occupational therapy services to NICU patients, delivering evidence-based evaluations and treatment plans while collaborating with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal developmental outcomes and safe discharge planning.
ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for NICU patients.
Provide therapeutic interventions focused on developmental care, fine motor skills, self-help skills, positioning, and adaptive equipment recommendations.
Educate patients' families and caregivers regarding treatment plans, progress, developmental milestones, and discharge recommendations.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and support continuity of care through discharge planning.
Mentor therapy students, assist with staff orientation, and support departmental quality, safety, and patient care initiatives.
Active California Occupational Therapist License required.
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
Current BLS Certification (AHA) required.
Minimum 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience with at least 1 year of recent NICU experience required.
Strong neonatal assessment, developmental care, communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
