Respiratory Therapist –Contract
Location: Hilo, HI
Pay Rate: $50.00–$55.00/hr
Schedule: Night shift, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12s weekly
Contract: 15 weeks
Experience: Minimum 2 years
About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 15-week contract in Hilo, HI. This is a great opportunity for an RT with strong airway management, ventilator support, and respiratory care experience across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous airway management and respiratory care
- Manage ventilators and non-invasive ventilator support
- Support adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
- Assist with CPR and emergency respiratory interventions
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
- Use computerized charting, Pyxis, PB 980, PB 840, V60, and Para Pac transport ventilator
- Document respiratory treatments and patient response accurately
Requirements
- Active Hawaii Respiratory Therapy license required by start date
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- RRT preferred
- NRP preferred
- EPIC experience preferred
- Must be able to work night shift and 3x12 schedule
- No first-time assignments
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception required before start
