We excited to announce we are expanding and looking to grow our team with a new Centre Assist Deskside Support Consultant!
Position Summary
The primary responsibilities for this position would be to make client onsite visits for onboarding of new Centre products. The Onboarding Consultant will provide support for a wide range of IT Infrastructure technologies such as, issue resolution, in-person client service, installation and removal of hardware, verbose documentation of client environments alongside Centre’s Project Services team. This role will be also act as a Liaison between the client and Centre Assist during active onboardings.
Some out of town travel may be required to support client environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assessments of new client’s environments
- Responsible for taking inventory at client sites to validate the make and models of current hardware
- Responsible for cooperation and partnership with Project Services to complete the client on-boarding/install
- Problem management and escalation of issues in a timely manner
- Prioritization of tasks and meeting of deadlines
- Responsible for troubleshooting issues while on-boarding new client
- Assist with computer system setups, implementations, and installations.
- Entry of time sheets, expense reports and documentation on or before deadlines
- Keep up to date on market trends, theory and new ways of doing things; embrace change
- Act as a Liaison between client and Centre Assist
- Assist with change-management activities
- Provide recommendations on on-boarding processes
- Responsible for aligning recommendations with Centre’s IT blueprint
- Prepare and deliver complete and concise documentation for all projects
- Provide daily updates on completed tasks or progress reports to Project Manager
- Help turn business problems into technical solutions
- Manage deployment of equipment in compliance with established technology policies.
Education/Experience/Certifications
- 0 - 2 years’ experience in IT related study or field.
- 0 - 2 years of Field Experience
- Must possess basic knowledge and experience with:
- Windows 7/8/10
- Microsoft Office suite
- Microsoft Windows Administration tools (AD Users and Computers, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, Sites and Services, etc.)
- Understanding of basic network concepts
- Understanding of application, desktop, and server virtualization
- Understanding of Desktop Deployment / Imaging
- Bachelor’s Degree a plus

- Certifications
- CompTIA A Certification a plus
- MDAA, MCSA
- Windows Server 2008/2012/2016
- Microsoft Office 365 Admin portal
- Understanding of File Permissions (NTFS & Sharing)
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player with outstanding client service skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds) may be required
