Requirements
- Associate degree or greater
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Excellent grasp of spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Proficiency with computers
- Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute
- Strong organizational detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills to interact with patients in a friendly, welcoming manner
Expectations
- Assist patients in exercises prescribed by Physical Therapists
- Assist with basic treatments as instructed by Physical Therapists, such as applying ice packs, heat packs, electrical stimulation, and other modalities
- Assist in documenting patient visits under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist, including documenting patient status, treatment, and measurements
- Interpret for Spanish-speaking patients and assist the front desk by taking Spanish phone calls
- Sanitize equipment and treatment areas
- Routine office upkeep (e.g., tidying common areas, taking out trash, vacuuming) and assist with clerical duties such as scanning, shredding, and organizing paperwork
- Occasional front office operations such as scheduling and managing referrals
