Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.
This is a Full-time Program Specialist position for the Public Safety programs including Emergency Medical Services, Administration of Justice, Fire Science Technology and i American Heart Association Training Site. The position will assist the Public Safety Program Head to provide technical and program advice to others while performing specialized tasks that affect the quality and success of Public Safety programs.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Administrative Assistant experience,
Additional Considerations
EMS training and familiarity with Virginia Office of EMS Training Division procedures.
Additional coursework in criminal justice related fields.
