Central Valley Ag is seeking a Fertilizer Plant Manager at our Tamora facility. This position is responsible for the precision management of liquid and dry fertilizer plants, NH3 facilities, and site logistics. We are looking for an operationally focused lead to maintain high standards of accuracy and regulatory compliance in a high-volume environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plant Operations: Manage liquid/dry fertilizer plants, chemical containment, and NH3 facilities with a focus on technical accuracy.
Site Logistics: Direct inbound product flow, including the safe and efficient unloading of railcars and warehouse organization.
Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the site expert for restricted-use pesticide requirements, chemical repackaging agreements, and meticulous record-keeping.
Inventory Control: Track agronomy products and grain with a high degree of detail to eliminate shrink, damage, or deterioration.
Safety Standards: Ensure all personnel and physical assets meet environmental, health, and maintenance standards—leading by example in compliance.
Operational Coordination: Partner with custom applicators and dispatch to ensure the cost-effective and timely delivery of bulk fertilizer.
Customer Support: Assist local patrons with professional, fact-based agronomic decisions and technical troubleshooting.
Equipment Monitoring: Monitor weighing systems and equipment (floaters, tenders, etc.) to ensure they operate within strict company and safety parameters.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Experience: 3 years in an agronomy or technical operations role preferred.
Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical ability and comfortable with computer applications (Microsoft Office, etc.).
Logical Problem-Solver: A "figure-it-out" mindset that relies on facts, observations, and analytics to solve operational challenges.
Process-Driven: A high attention to detail and a preference for following established procedures (SOPs).

Education: High School or GED diploma required.
