Job Title: Support Staff / Custodian

Location: Central UMC, Albuquerque

Job Type: Part-time, hourly; afternoons/evenings and weekends

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced support staff member/custodian to assist with the daily operations of our church facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the safety and security of building tenants and guests, complete maintenance and repair activities, and maintain spaces for all to participate in the life of the church.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete regular building maintenance and repairs, ensuring all work meets a high standard.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all building occupants, members, and visitors.
• Keep clean areas as directed by the supervisor.
• Light maintenance may be part of daily responsibilities.
• Follow the church’s cleaning procedures.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and requests, effectively resolving any issues that arise.

Qualifications:

• GED or high school diploma is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a custodian or similar role is preferred.
• Be able to work independently while interacting with a diversity of individuals.
• Detail-oriented with a passion for the mission and vision of the organization.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
