Position Overview
This role serves as the front lines, first point of contact for individuals seeking food assistance. As the Neighbor Services Receptionist, you provide administrative support, excellent customer service, and overall coordination between client entry points (helpline and walk-ins) and all Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) client programs. This position serves as the primary front-desk representative and first point of contact for neighbors, conducting client intake for the market, managing helpline inquiries, and providing information, screening, and referrals. This role interacts with diverse populations to help support CTFB’s mission to nourish hungry people and lead the community in the fight against hunger.
Relationships
Building and maintaining collaborative and meaningful relationships is a core component of this position. Reporting to the Neighbor Services Manager within the Neighbor Programs Services department, this position needs to nurture strong connections with colleagues on various teams, especially Benefits and Enrollment Services, Workforce Training, Community Nutrition, Food Sourcing, and Logistics to ensure appropriate and efficient connections to services for our neighbors. Proven and demonstrated professionalism and effective communication skills to achieve goals are necessary for this role.
