Summary Of Position
Responsible for providing competent medical guidance for the Respiratory Care Technology program and assisting the Program Director and Director of Clinical Education in ensuring that didactic, laboratory, and supervised clinical instruction meets current practice guidelines. Review and approve the educational content of the curriculum, and the quality of instruction and supervision delivered by the faculty. Review each student's performance to ensure adequate progress toward program completion.
Minimum Required Education
Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week - 19 hours week

Minimum Required Education
- Licensed physician and Board certified (as recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
- Current ACLS, ITLS/PHTLS, PALS, and/or Newborn Resuscitation Course Certification, Provider and/or Instructor preferred.
- Specialty relevant to respiratory care.
- Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge about the education of the Respiratory care Professions, including professional, legislative, and regulatory issues regarding the education of the Respiratory Therapists.
- Knowledge of state and national regulatory agency requirements.
- Knowledge of respiratory care of acutely ill and injured patients.
- Teaching experience to deliver content, skills instruction, and remediation.
- Ability to engage student interest to support a variety of learning styles.
- Guide and evaluate students in the classroom and clinical area.
- Ability to communicate with students, agency personnel, and college personnel.
- Flexible, dependable-able to work with Respiratory care program students.
