Position Title Adjunct Building Trades Instructor, CBE Open-Entry/Self-Paced-Restricted to current CTC Employees FLSA Exempt Full Time/Part Time Part Time Department Industrial Technology Campus Central Campus Location Central Campus Salary $21.00 Hours Part-time, include requirement and total hours per week, Other - Part-time, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required to support program needs. Summary of Position
Responsible for instructing students in core skills related to residential and light industrial construction, including blueprint reading, material usage, site preparation, structural framing, finish work, cabinet and trim installation, basic plumbing and electrical systems, and cost estimating, with an emphasis on safety, code compliance, and hands-on application. The position involves developing and delivering curriculum, providing hands-on instruction, assessing student progress, maintaining tools, equipment, and facilities, and fostering strong industry connections to prepare students for successful careers in the Building Trades industry.
Minimum Required Education
Associate Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education
Minimum Required Experience
Directly related work experience, professional licensure, and/or industry certifications.

In additional to teaching responsibilities, the performance of administrative tasks—such as certifying census rosters, entering assignment and final grades, and providing data to support institutional accountability—is an essential part of this role. - OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.

- equipment maintenance and repair procedures used in instructional lab setting.

- apply construction techniques across residential and light industrial projects, including framing, masonry, plumbing, electrical, finish work, and installation of structural components.
- interpret technical documents such as blueprints, codes, and specifications to guide construction planning, material use, and code-compliant execution.
- operate tools and perform trade-specific calculations using hand and power tools, precision instruments, and accurate measurement and estimating methods.
