Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for young children of all abilities. Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
- Create a positive, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages learning through play and exploration.
- Maintain effective classroom management using positive guidance and redirection techniques.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their health, safety, and well-being.
- Observe and assess children's developmental progress and communicate updates with families as needed.
- Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom.
- Follow all state childcare licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and center policies and procedures.
- Ensure accurate completion of required classroom documentation, attendance, incident reports, medication records, and daily reports.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.
- Work collaboratively with administration and fellow teachers to support daily operations and provide the highest quality of care.
- Model professionalism, patience, and respect in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and learning activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must meet all state licensing requirements, including required background checks and training.
