POSITION: Medical Assisting Instructor
CAMPUS: Drumright Campus
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide effective instruction in Medical Assisting necessary to prepare students for employment in business and industry.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Campus Director
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have good interpersonal relationship skills and utilize good verbal and written communication. Must be able to develop or modify curriculum to meet individual program requirements. Must be a good role model.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three to five years’ recent work experience in health care industry. At least two years’ nursing experience. Teaching experience preferred.
EDUCATION: LPN required. Registered Nurse with Associate’s degree preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read, comprehend and evaluate documents, textbooks and reference materials. Ability to deliver presentations and instructions in a logical and sequential order. The ability to stand for long periods of time and to move around the classroom. Requires stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. The ability to lift 30 pounds of weight to a height of four feet. Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
STARTING DATE: August 1, 2025
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10-month contract – Certified/Exempt
