Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor Federal Work-Study (FWS) student employment processes within the Banner ERP system, ensuring accurate job coding, labor distribution, EPAF processing.
- Serve as subject matter expert on Federal Work-Study policies and procedures, providing training and technical guidance to supervisors and students on eligibility verification, award utilization, compliance standards, and audit-ready documentation practices.
- Analyze Banner data and FWS allocation reports to forecast utilization trends, prevent over-awards, reconcile payroll discrepancies, and generate compliance and performance dashboards to support institutional reporting and strategic workforce planning.
- Maintain real-time tracking of student earnings in compliance with federal regulations.
- Support the implementation, scheduling, preparation, and coordination of programming and training for the student employment practices.
- Assists in the development and implementation of statistical and demographic data tracking on and off campus employment, student income, employer engagement and placement and program participation.
- Develops and maintains digital tracking of job placement, acquired credentials of students and alumni and First Destination Survey data.
- Trains students to utilize state of the art platforms for resumes, cover letters, elevator pitches, and interview preparation.
- Analyzes trends in student employment, employer engagement, and graduate readiness, and contributes to annual dashboard reports and institutional planning efforts.
- Creates timelines for student engagement that align with campus employment and employer recruitment cycles, and deadlines for,work study, internships, fellowships, graduate school admission, and employment programs.
- Ability to conduct career-related seminars, on-campus supervisor and student training, information sessions and departmental programs, as needed.
- Communicates professionally with faculty, staff, employers, Administration and Trustees, as needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, Counseling, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in career services, student employment, workforce development, or a related area. - Demonstrated experience using career services platforms, especially Handshake and Banner, for employer engagement, job postings, event coordination, campus employment and data analytics.
- Understanding of FERPA, EEO, and federal regulations regarding student employment.
- Demonstrate use of data dashboards or reports to improve program outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience designing and leading workshops or professional development programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and skilled with data collection and analysis.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a dynamic, student facing environment.
- Understanding FERPA, EEO, and federal regulations regarding student employment.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders, alumni and employers.
- Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling, Human Resources, Data Analytics or related discipline.
- 5 years of experience specifically in career services or student employment programs, with supervisory or program coordination responsibility.
- Prior experience with on and off-campus employment administration or student employment compliance oversight.
- Proven ability to build partnerships across departments, especially Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, Human Resources, and Academic Affairs.
