Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Surveyor in Virginia Beach, VA. The Surveyor will be responsible for conducting land surveys, assessing property boundaries, and preparing detailed reports and maps. Daily tasks include using specialized surveying equipment, analyzing data, setting out designs, and providing accurate measurements to ensure project success. The Surveyor will collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure the delivery of precise and high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in land surveying methods and the use of surveying equipment, such as GPS, total stations, and laser scanners
- Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, and land development plans
- Experience in data analysis, including measurements, calculations, and producing accurate reports
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with diverse teams and clients
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities in fieldwork and project coordination
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry
- Certification or degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with surveying software and CAD systems is advantageous
- Previous experience in civil works or construction projects is a plus
