What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - PACU Day Surgery position at Central Peninsula Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: Manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Charge nurse responsibilities, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current licensure in Alaska as Registered Nurse or eligibility to do so.
- Associates in Nursing
- BLSP certification required at time of hire
- ACLS and PALS within six months of employment.
- Demonstrates proficiency in acute care nursing knowledge and skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities; high critical thinking skills and ability to make decisions quickly; ability to work under pressure and balance competing requests by priority; must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation; ability to work independently and in a team setting.
PREFERRED:
- Bachelor’s in Nursing
- 1 year Nursing- Perioperative Care
