What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activities Coordinator - Overflow Unit position at Central Peninsula Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Activity Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates an ongoing, person-centered activities program for hospital swing bed patients (SNF level of care) that supports each patient’s interests, preferences, and goals; promotes physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing; and encourages independence and community interaction. The Activities Coordinator may supervise activities and volunteers, ensuring high-quality program delivery, regulatory compliance, and a positive, person-centered experience for all participants.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program
- Two (2) years of CNA experience in an Acute Care setting
- State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant License
- BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
- Activity Professional Certification within one year of employment
